Foundation to Grade 6 - Marrung Installation Artwork
All students from Foundation to Grade 6 have contributed to the terra cotta pipes. Students were inspired by Indigenous artworks to create dots, lines, patterns and story telling through images for their own artwork. The Grade 6 students outlined eucalyptus leaves onto terra cotta pipes. The eucalyptus leaves were painted by the students in different shades of green. Foundation, Grade 1 and 2 students used dot technique to create their artwork on the eucalyptus leaves. Students in Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 were able to choose story telling images to paint their designs. Students used wooden skewers and fine brushes.
The photos below are just a small sample of the artwork on the terra cotta pipes.
The terra cotta pipes are currently being installed near the stadium.
Just take a moment to ....
enjoy completing a jigsaw.
The Foundation students completed jigsaws on a variety of topics to see the image/picture that was created when the pieces were joined together. The students looked at colour, patterns, straight edges and matching parts. The students then designed and drew their own jigsaw puzzle.
