Summer Sport is back!
Our netball teams were the first ones to return with games in Week 1. Players could be forgiven for being a little rusty after a month or two off, but all put in spirited displays.
A special mention to our Year 6 White team who broke through for their first win of the season. Eva, Isabelle and Esther controlled the midcourt. Lily, Jamie and Valentina were dangerous in the goal circle. Audrey, Penny and Hattie were impassable in defence. Winners 9-4.
Our Year 3 Pink and Green teams played on neighbouring courts and dazzled, finding space and moving the ball with speed. Have the girls been training secretly all summer? Our Year 5 Red team continued their undefeated season with a strong win. Welcome to Ella Collett who has joined the team this term and was soon popping in goals from everywhere. Also well done to our Year 7 Blue team who yawned their way through warm up, exhausted from school camp, but then put in a superb winning display!
This week our aerobics teams began their trainings, our tennis teams had their first hit out while our volleyball matches start tonight.
Next week we have basketball, cricket, touch football and cross country up and running while athletics will get underway in Week 8.
If your daughter hasn’t yet signed up for a Term 1 sport but would like to, please contact Ben at Ben.Johnswood@loreto.sa.edu.au.

Year 5 Presents Alice in Wonderland Jr. – A Magical Journey Awaits!
Set to take the stage at the end of June, this whimsical adventure promises to transport audiences into a world of imagination, curiosity, and fun.
With auditions just around the corner, eager students are already preparing, practicing lines, and warming up their singing voices. Many have enrolled to audition, hoping to bring beloved characters like Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and the Queen of Hearts to life. The enthusiasm is contagious, and we can’t wait to see our talented students shine.
Once the cast is announced, rehearsals will begin in full swing, blending acting, singing, and dancing to create a spectacular production. Students will not only develop their performance skills but will also build confidence, teamwork, and creativity along the way.
As we countdown to opening night, we invite our school community to mark their calendars and join us for an enchanting journey down the rabbit hole. Stay tuned for more updates—Alice in Wonderland Jr. is sure to be a show to remember!
