Level 1
Level 1 students are currently learning drag and drop coding using the Dash robots. Students are seeing the importance of providing clear instructions and commands.
Level 2
Students are learning about natural disasters using we-do LEGO robotics. Students are connecting real world examples to their builds and problem solving how to meet a community need. Over the coming weeks we will be exploring hazard alarms, flood gates and building model houses to withstand an earthquake.
Levels 3 & 4
Student are building on their prior knowledge of coding using Scratch to code “old school games”. Throughout this unit students are considering user interaction.
Levels 5 & 6
Students are currently completing a Wonder design thinking project. Students chose a science question they have always wondered about and have researched facts and created a range of creative projects to communicate their findings. These questions have been broad and ranged from how long it takes a gecko to regrow its tail?, is the sky really blue? and does staring at grass help your eye sight?. I look forward to sharing these projects in the coming weeks.
STEAM Club
STEAM Club is back with many students across the school turning out to build and program with EV3 robotics.
