Level 6

We're a great mix in Level 6!

Level 6 has had a great start to the year so far and are settling well into a routine. We are enjoying the extra responsibilities that come along with being in Level 6, such as presenting at assemblies, selling icy-poles and distributing lunch orders.

Reading

We have been reading our class novel and summarising each chapter as we go. We have also analysed the chapters and characters, for example identifying the main idea of a chapter or identifying and interpreting the figurative language.

Writing

We have started this year with narrative writing using a picture prompt to stimulate ideas. Our picture prompt was created by Flynn.

Numeracy

Our main focus in Maths is number and place value. We have been working with decimals, prime and composite numbers and making factor trees.

Inquiry

As part of our Inquiry unit on Identity, we have worked in teams on various activities, including creating maps of First Nations languages for each state.
