Lenny is on the Lookout for the Learner Dispositions!

Week 4- Optimism

Over the next 5 weeks, we will be practicing showing the Learner Dispositions throughout the school day.

Lenny the Lizard will be on the lookout for students who are showing Optimism, Determination, Creativity, Collaboration and Reflection, and celebrating these with a super snazzy sticker!

Throughout Week 4, Lenny will be on the lookout for Optimistic behaviours. These things could include:

• Showing a growth mindset
• Being hopeful 
• Being open to new ideas
• Seeing the bright side
• Positive self talk

At assembly on Friday, we will hear from students about how they earned an Optimism sticker this week.

SUP Program Launch

2025 Classroom Helper Course

Thursday 20th February 3pm

Hello APS,

Shane, Chiara, and I will be running a classroom helper information session for those interested in assisting in the classroom in 2025. If you would like to volunteer, we ask that you attend this session.

The session will be held on Thursday, February 20th, at 3:00 PM 

Level 1 of the Administration Building

It will run for 30 minutes and cover:

• What to expect during your sessions
• Child safety standards
• Working With Children Checks
• An OHS induction
• Volunteer induction information, including signing in and out at the school office

We warmly welcome classroom helpers at APS. Your support is invaluable—it provides an extra pair of hands and a wonderful opportunity to contribute to student learning and growth.
