Welcome!

A message from the Principal
Hello Night
This year, our annual Hello Night was held on Tuesday, 11th February, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. It was fantastic to see so many families visit the school, meet their child’s teachers, explore the classrooms, and enjoy a sausage or ice cream. Thank you to everyone who attended and made the evening such a great success!
Safe on Social
This week, our Year 5/6 students are heading out for an excursion to the Safe on Social session, which will be held at St Liborius on 20th February. There will also be a Parent Information Evening on the same day, providing families with valuable information on keeping children safe online.
The Parent Information Session is free to attend, and all parents are welcome to join. Safe on Social has been a trusted leader in online safety, having worked with over 2,000 schools and organizations worldwide. With 30 years of expertise in cybersecurity and social media risk management, they offer cutting-edge, human-centered solutions that help empower individuals to connect safely and responsibly. For more information and kid-friendly resources, visit their website: Safe on Social.
Carpark Safety
To ensure everyone’s safety, please use the designated crossing in the centre of the car park when moving between sections. A staff member will be on duty—please follow their directions.
The area closest to the school is a Kiss & Drop zone (for quick drop-offs and pick-ups). If you need to park and leave your vehicle, please use the roadside parking, not the Kiss & Drop lane. The afternoons can be hectic, and some vehicles are trying to turn in. Please be safe and diligent with pick-up.
Thank you for helping keep our school community safe!
Random Acts of Kindness Week
The students have been doing a fantastic job of catching kindness in action, and we will continue to promote this initiative throughout the week. This has been a great student-led effort, and we hope it will continue to foster kindness and gratitude among our school community. Great work to all those students who have been recognised so far!
School Photos – Date Correction!
The correct date for school photosis Tuesday, 25th March. Further information regarding ordering is available under the General section of this newsletter. Be sure to mark your calendar so your child is ready for their photo!
Learning Conversations – Bookings Open!
Our first Learning Conversations for the year will be held on Wednesday, 26th February. This year, all conversations will take place on the same day, and we aim to finish the school day earlier to ensure we can fit all interviews into the afternoon. As a result, the school day will end 1 hour earlier at 2:15 pm.
If students are unable to be picked up at this time, we will have designated areas across the school where they can be supervised. After school care will take place as normal. Please save the date – 26th February. The booking site on PAM opened today for parents to schedule their appointments.
God Bless,
Jeremy Darmody
