Young House Community Service

Supporting Our Community One Meal at a Time

Young House is proud to continue its partnership with the Uniting Church in Hamilton to provide free lunch meals to community members in need. This initiative supports those facing food insecurity and allows our students to give back to the community meaningfully.

On select Tuesdays, from 11:30 am to approximately 1:10 pm, groups of 2-3 Young House students will walk to and from school to assist with the lunch service. Church volunteers prepare the meals, and our students play a supporting role in setting up, serving the meals, and helping with the cleanup afterwards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn the value of service, build connections within the community, and make a positive impact.
