Our Term 1 Respectful Relationships topic is Personal & Cultural Strengths. This will involve students learning about:

  • Identifying and describing the personal and cultural strengths of both themselves and others.
  • Understanding how personal and cultural strengths can be used at school and home.
  • Why it is important to value personal and cultural strengths that are different from our own.

If you have any questions about how you can support your child’s learning of these topics at home, please get in contact with your child’s classroom teacher. Additionally, our Visible Wellbeing focus this term will be Coping. Students will learn more about the ways in which they can use coping skills and strategies to solve problems and balance the demands of life. This focus will be supported by a range of wellbeing practices utilised regularly in classrooms, including:

  • A daily circle time to check in with students, discuss wellbeing matters and voice worries in a safe and supportive space.
  • Regular brain breaks and boosts during class time.
