A reflection from Pakhi K, Class Captain of 9Z:
On 1 July, the Year 9 GAPP students joined the Year 9 SEAL students from Balwyn High at Monash University to participate in an engineering program. This experience was not only enlightening, but fun, captivating and informative as it provided us with more information about the courses as Monash University – specifically, the engineering programs.
University staff, teachers, and professors led us through a variety of hands-on activities and presentations that introduced key engineering and science concepts in creative and accessible ways. Their enthusiasm, combined with the students and our active curiosity, made the experience both educational and memorable.
Overall, the program provided a unique opportunity to explore university life and helped many of us begin thinking about our future study paths and career goals in STEM fields.
