Celebrating 100 Days of Prep

Our preps have clocked up 100 days of school and that is worth celebrating.  As mentioned at Friday’s assembly, the current preps have made very good use of their time at school and they are flying.  Many of the preps made very convincing 100 year olds on the day and enjoyed staying in character throughout the day.  A big thank you to the parents for the time and effort made to helping their kids dress up.

Parent Surveys 2025

This morning all parents and carers received an invitation to participate in a Parent/Guardian Survey via Compass.  We would really appreciate you spending the time to complete that survey.

The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, community engagement in learning, teaching practices for student engagement and outcomes, and attitudes towards school attendance. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

All responses to the survey are anonymous.

Surveys are conducted online, only take 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

Congratulations Chelsea

Well done to Chelsea Jew, a member of our teacher aide team, who was recently announced as the Ballarat Football/Netball League’s junior coach of the year in the women’s division.  This season Chelsea has coached the Lakers U16 girls' team and has clearly done an excellent job.  Good job Chelsea.

Music Scholarship Performance

Good luck to our school band, who on Monday will join ten other schools from Bacchus Marsh and surrounding districts to perform at the Kids Big Day Out.  This event has been going for a number of years, but this is the first time we have signed up to perform.  Mr Skilbeck and the band members are excited and have three songs ready to go.  We wish them luck and know the crowd will thoroughly enjoy their performance.

Speaking of musical performances, it's been nice to have regular musical items at assembly and lots of parents coming along to watch.
