Canowindra Connections

This year on the Canowindra Campus we are continuing to work on building connections between Junior School and Year 9. In the spirit of these connections, the Year 9 students, along with Mr Noye, organised and ran a Mini Olympics for the students at the end of Term 2. 

The Year 9 students organised a variety of events including the long-distance race, relay race, bean bag shot put and the long jump. While the students enjoyed all of the events, the star event was definitely the Rubber Chicken Javelin. The squeaking of the chickens, the distance and the wayward directions they travelled resulted in lots of excitement from all of the students present at the event.  

This event allowed both Junior School and Year 9 students to work together, building positive relationships. We are all  looking forward to our next combined event this term, when some Year 9 students will join in with us to celebrate Book Week in Week 4.

This year the musical is being performed at the Bowery Theatre – just 11 minutes from the Yirramboi Campus 15 minutes from Canowindra Campus.

Saturday 9th August - 2.30pm (matinee) & 7pm
