100 Days of Learning in Prep
Our Prep students celebrated a huge milestone—100 days of learning, growing, and having fun at school! From counting activities to creative crafts, it was a joyful day filled with excitement and pride. Congratulations to our wonderful Preps on reaching this special moment!
Grade 1 News
Bullying-No Way! week was a great opportunity for the Gr 1 class to discuss, read stories and dress up with a pop of purple as we focussed on the positive messages of Be Bold! Be Kind! Speak Up!
In Numeracy, the students are focussing on length -comparing items, using terms such as 'longer than, shorter than, same as and measuring items using informal units such as blocks, paper clips, counters. They even measured the long side and short side on shapes such as squares and rectangles and were able to prove that the sides on a square all have the same length!
3/4 Unit News
In grade 3 and 4 there has been lots of things happening this term. Our classrooms are very busy, active learning spaces, where everyone is engaged in their tasks and having a terrific time.
Our literacy learning so far has included, the novel Iron Man by Ted Hughes which is a story that is part modern fairy tale and part science fiction. He is an enormous iron man monster set to devour all metal objects and destroy the farmlands until there is a situation that only the Iron Man himself can conquer.
And most excitingly, the news for our Grade 4 students is that they are now getting our pens licences. Thrilling news indeed!
In Mathematics we have explored angles and telling the time on both analogue and digital clocks. We have also been drilling our times tables – well done to everyone!
In Religion we continue to explore the love of Jesus and the care and kindness we have for one another.
Bullying No Way was supported with a pop of purple and a big chat about kindness.
A huge thanks to the wonderful 3/4 teachers - Mrs Townrow, Mrs Miller, Ms Christy, Mrs Polonowita and Mrs Bowman, plus all the other staff who help out in any way.
