Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures – Front of School (Building Program)

To ensure safety and efficiency during afternoon pick-up at the front of the school while the Building Program is underway, please note the following procedures. Families have two options for collection:

  1. Park and Collect – Park in the designated bays and enter the school via the paddock to collect your child.

  2. Drive-Through Pick-Up – Join the car queue, remain in your vehicle, and wait for your child to be brought to you.

Important Information:

  • The three bays adjacent to the paddock are reserved for Disabled Parking only. These must remain clear at all times unless a valid disabled parking permit is displayed.

  • The pick-up queue begins immediately behind the Disabled Parking bays. Please remain in line and wait patiently. Staff will direct children to vehicles in groups of no more than two, and cars will only move forward under staff instruction.

  • Students are to remain on the pathway until directed by staff to approach their vehicle.

  • For safety reasons, overtaking and the use of car horns are not permitted.

  • Families crossing the road must do so with care.

  • The pick-up process is designed to move efficiently and is usually completed within five minutes.

  • Parents and carers are asked to follow all staff directions at all times.

Please also remind your child that, if being collected at the front of the school, they are to proceed directly there after the dismissal bell without delay.

We kindly request that these guidelines be shared with any family members or others responsible for your child’s collection.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and orderly pick-up process for all members of our school community.

Book Week

Book Week kicked off on Monday with our Annual Book Week Parade. Judging by the array of costumes on display, some people had planned this for a while.

It was wonderful to see our entire community getting involved with students, staff, and even some younger siblings joining in the action.

A full suite of photos can be found on our Facebook page or via the link below:

After lunch our children in Years Prep to 4  experienced the re-enactment of one of the shortlisted books. Meerkat Productions brought to life The Garden of Broken Things, written and illustrated by Freya Blackwood.

Thank you so much to Miss Jane Wilkinson for once again organising such wonderful experiences for our children.

Footy Colours Dress Up Day

On Friday 5th September we will celebrate the AFL final series with our annual ‘Footy Colours Dress-Up Day’.

On this day children are invited to wear their favourite AFL team colours to school and I hope to see a sea of black and white (Go Pies!)

Father's Day Brekky

Also on Friday 5th September, we will kick off Father's Day Weekend (ha ha), with our Fathers’ Day Breakfast.

Breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. and what better to serve Dad than a hot bacon and egg roll? Don’t forget to wear your Footy Colours to school (dads and children)!

Father's Day Stall Update

Following breakfast, our Father's Day Stall will be in operation.  Similar to Mother's Day it will be a little different this year so without giving too much away please note the followng:

  • Children will need to bring $7.00to purchase their gift (not $5 as stated last week)

  • A limited supply of additional gifts for extended families or Grandfathers will be available for an additional $2.

School Hats

As per our Sun Smart Policy, children are required to wear either the school legionnaire’s hat or bucket hat (both Anti-Cancer Council approved) whenever they are outside from mid-August to the end of April.

Please ensure your child has their school hat each day so that they can participate fully during their PE classes and recess breaks. Now might be  a good time to give those hats a wash!

Please mark in your diaries the remaining School Closure Days for 2024 -

  • Monday 3rd November: Teacher Professional Practice Day
