Congratulations go to Sophie Beltrame 9A for her Trombone solo in Saint Saens’ Carnival of the Animals - The Elephant, and to Issaac Delahoy 9E for his Timpani solo as the Dragon in Chris M Bernotas, Dragon Run.
All students represented themselves and the school to a high level and, as their Band Director, I am very proud of their individual personal development and the progress, as musicians, each member has demonstrated. Thank you to Mr Van Bergen for driving the bus and supporting us in our musical endeavours. We are looking forward to sharing our pieces with you at our Gala Concert on the Tuesday 12 September.

Last Wednesday, our Year 9/10 Dance and VCE Dance classes were treated to a Composition Workshop led by Sydney Dance Company. During the session our students were guided through technique classes, learnt repertoire from Sydney Dance Company's tour show Accent and undertook choreographic tasks. All students relished the opportunity to learn from leading industry professionals. We all left feeling very inspired and ready to continue developing our Dance-making skills in class.
Thank you to Brad and Siobhan from Sydney Dance Company for making the experience so memorable.
