Volleyball Schools Cup

On Wednesday, the 17th of June, 3 of our Volleyball teams participated in the one day schools cup in Melbourne. On the day we had students from Year 9-12 fielding teams for intermediate girls, intermediate boys and senior boys.

The intermediate girls were tasked with playing up against senior teams in a merged competition. The girls across each game showed improvements in their teamwork, decision-making, and passing, which was great to see. In the end they finished 4th in their division, which is an impressive effort.

The senior boys team was also playing in a higher division than usual, so facing similar challenges to the intermediate girls. They gave each match their best efforts and showed some great levels of skill within their matches. In the end the senior boys also finished 4th in their division.

The intermediate boys team again in the theme of the day was playing up an age group and in a more senior division than they should be. They were able to take on this challenge and put together some fantastic points/sets and matches. In the end the intermediate boys left with a silver medal coming second in their competition.

It was a great day by all and everyone was a pleasure to take on the day and represent the school.
