North West Region Science and Engineering Challenge
On Tuesday 23rd June 2026, our students headed to The Crossing Theatre in Narrabri to the Science and Engineering Challenge (SEC).
Presented by the University of Newcastle in partnership with Rotary clubs, local communities, and sponsors, the SEC is a premier nationwide STEM outreach program. It is designed to give students a taste of practical science and engineering concepts that they wouldn't usually see in the classroom environment.
Events like the SEC are invaluable for sparking curiosity and showing our young people just where a career in science and engineering can take them. We are incredibly proud of how our students represented the school
Religion (K-6 activities)
Our K-2 and 3-6 classes have been coming together to deepen their understanding of the Eucharist. It was lovely to watch our older students mentoring the younger ones, assisting them with activities like word searches, colouring, and writing prayers. It is always special to see our students collaborating and learning alongside one another.
Music in K-2
Our K-2 students have been busy exploring the world of sound! They’ve been creating imaginative soundscapes using a mix of musical instruments, body percussion, and their own voices to bring stories to life. From the crashing waves of a beach to the rumble of a thunderstorm and the twinkling of stars, the class has loved responding to creative prompts through their own unique compositions.
