Carlingford West Basketball Dominates in State Knockout Round 5!

A huge congratulations to our Carlingford West Basketball teams for their incredible performances in Round 5 of the State Knockout!

Both the girls' and boys' teams secured convincing wins to advance to the next round.

Girls' Team: A Display of Grit and Glory

A special thank you goes to Renxuan, who delivered a phenomenal performance while battling illness. Her dedication and commitment to her teammates exemplify the true spirit of the Carlingford West family. Playing through pain and nausea, she showed that we give our best even when we're not at 100%. Leading the charge with an outstanding 18 points, Renxuan was instrumental in securing the win.

Rachel also stepped up with several crucial baskets to keep the game in our control. Defensively, April rose to the challenge, guarding our basket with relentless energy. She seemed to block hundreds of shots, rejecting the opposition's attempts with ease.

A huge thank you to every member of the girls' team for their contributions to this fantastic victory. We are proud of you and excited to see you progress to Round 6!

Boys' Team: A game to Remembe

The boys' team had a shaky start when Riverbank scored the first easy two points of the game. However, Ryan, Theo, Bryan, Jayden, and Kaixin quickly steadied the ship with their lockdown defence.

Theo and Ryan then caught fire, going on a scoring spree to build a comfortable lead.

Bryan was a powerhouse on both ends of the court, making amazing defensive plays while also nailing a few baskets of his own. Kaixin and Jayden added to the tally with several handy baskets, helping to seal a dominant win.

Everyone played their part to help Carlingford West comfortably secure our Round 5 victory.

Looking Ahead to Round 6

While we don't know who our Round 6 opponents are just yet, we are confident that both our boys' and girls' teams will be up to the task.

Let's go Carlingford West!

Results:     Girls' 28-10       Boys' 56-22
