Aus Chem Training – Year 11 Farm Focus Students

The College has been fortunate to receive funding to subsidise the cost of the AusChem Course for all Year 11 Farm Focus students in 2024. The course will teach students about safe chemical handling and usage. The AusChem Course would usually cost hundreds of dollars and in some states the purchase of agricultural chemicals is restricted for sale without this accreditation. The cost of the two-day course for parents is $80 in 2024.

Year 11 Farm Focus students who are also enrolled in the Certificate III in Advanced Wool Handling will complete Aus Chem Training on the 23rd and 24th of April. The remaining Farm Focus Students are enrolled for the 18th, 19th and 20th of November 2024. Please note that this is during invitation week and is after the official last day for Year 11 students in 2024.

For students who choose to complete the Certificate III in Agriculture in 2025, the AusChem course will also provide credit for two units of competency from this qualification.

Weekend Stock Roster

The weekly student roster for Farm has been updated and is displayed around the College. Year 10 and 11 students are encouraged to take special note of the Weekend Stock Roster as their attendance is a requirement of their Farm learning program.
