News from the Primary School

Primary Tribal Athletics

Last Thursday, the Junior, Middle and Senior Primary students put weeks of training and preparation into action as they tackled our annual Primary Athletics Day.

The weather this year, once again, showcased Mount Evelyn at its absolute finest. Students competed in many events across the day including the 100m, 200m, 800m and relay races on the track. In the field, students showcased their giftings in the tunnel ball, vortex throw, shot put, discus, high jump and long jump.

Many thanks to the huge turnout of parents who cheered us all on and who were seen throughout the day keenly lining up for their coffees.

We were also fortunate to have a great turn out of Middle School helpers who helped the Primary Staff make the day run very smoothly.

We look forward to seeing our students participating in the district athletics day coming up on 9 August.

The tribal results for the day were:

1st – Kaja 445 pts

2nd – Jarra 381 pts

3rd – Wirri 367 pts

4th – Mani 300 pts
