Principal's Report
This Sunday we celebrate Mother’s Day. A special day to highlight the central roles our Mothers play in our lives. We also celebrate all the other women in our lives such as grandmothers, stepmothers, aunts, cousins, teachers and special friends who have helped to shape and form us into the person we are today. I would like to especially thank the Parents and Friends Committee for purchasing and organising the gifts for the Mother’s Day Stall which was held on Thursday. Thank you to the volunteers who helped out on the day. The students loved shopping for their mum and choosing a special gift.
We pray to our Mother Mary to bless all the mothers of the Holy Rosary School community. May Mother Mary bless you all, inspiring and energising you by her gentle example of love and perseverance. May she guide you each day as you care and guide your child/ren to grow and flourish.
In recent news, as a system we are navigating through discussions regarding the Schools Savings Bonus announced in this year's Budget. While we recognise the importance of financial support for education, we are actively working alongside CES and Catholic schools as they formulate a response that upholds the principles of fairness and inclusivity, that is clearly missing in the recent announcement.
A reminder to families: before school care is available for those who require it. We understand the juggling act of busy schedules, and we're here to support you in every way we can. The safety of children is certainly paramount and there has been a growing number of early arrivals at the front gate. In addition we ask parents to remain in the car when using the drive through drop off/pick up to ensure a safe and fluid system.
Today, our Grade 3 students embark on an exciting excursion to Sovereign Hill. We eagerly await their return and anticipate a full report of their adventures next week. I am looking forward to sharing the day with the children panning for gold and enjoying the educational programs, although the hill remains a little daunting!
As we plan for the future, we encourage families to return enrollment forms for 2025 as soon as possible. Your early response helps us better prepare for the upcoming academic year and ensures a smooth transition for all involved.
A note on uniform: Let's work together to ensure that it is worn correctly with no substitutions. A consistent dress code fosters a sense of belonging and pride in our school community. We have a fantastic uniform shop to provide items and our volunteers work hard to ensure everyone is catered for.
Happy Mothers Day to all Mums, have a wonderful day!
