2024 Celtic Festival
Glen Innes High School had an active involvement in the recent Celtic Festival weekend! Our students and staff rallied together to support this internationally renowned community event, showcasing the spirit of collaboration and service that we encourage all students to develop skills in.
Over 40 enthusiastic students and 15 dedicated staff members volunteered their time and energy in various roles throughout the festival. From welcoming guests at the gates to ensuring smooth ticketing processes, our team was there every step of the way, making sure that visitors had a memorable experience.
Here's a glimpse of the contributions made by our Glen Innes High School team:
🎟️ Gate Operations: Students and staff manned the gates, efficiently selling and scanning tickets, ensuring a seamless entry process for festival attendees.
👋 Visitor Assistance: Volunteers assisted visitors with boarding and disembarking buses, providing friendly guidance and support throughout their festival journey.
🏷️ Wristband Distribution: Our team distributed and fitted wristbands with care, ensuring that everyone had proper access to festival activities while maintaining safety protocols.
🍰 Celtic Kitchen Support: Students helped collect cake entries for the Celtic Kitchen Cooking Competition.
🧵 Quilt Hanging: Volunteers assisted in hanging beautiful quilts, adding to the festival's colourful and vibrant ambiance.
🎤 Opening Ceremony: With flair and confidence, our school Captain Charlotte McHarg took on the role of Master of Ceremonies at the opening ceremony in the Town Square setting the stage for an unforgettable kick-off to the festival celebrations.
