School Council News

The School Council’s February meeting was its last official meeting for 2024-25, before it refreshes its membership and office-holders for 2025-26. 

Updates 

This month, Council received updates from Matt about the teaching staff about a range of matters, including: 

• the school’s strategy for managing enrolments in the coming year 
• how the school is monitoring the transition to year 3/4 composite classes
• new school maintenance arrangements, and the program of works planned to improve the junior school facilities 
• impacts of the 2025 School Savings Bonus

New School Council members are encouraged to nominate for 2025-26

Our sincere thanks go to those School Council members (both parents and staff) whose two-year terms are expiring, or who are standing down. Particular thanks go to School Council President, Jason Holandsjo, and Treasurer, Karleen Radford – who have each invested extra time and effort, on a weekly basis, to support the good governance of WPS. 

Members are able to renominate. Council is also keen to seek nominations by new parent and community members. Nominations close at 4pm on 28 February 2025.
