This fortnight's Spotlight is on....

Year 3 and Year 4

Stage 2 working in STEM

This term the Stage 2 students have been working hard in STEM to explore plants and animals.

STEM Blurb by Amelie and Zoe:

In STEM this term, we are working on creating a ‘Beehive Hotel’. We have drawn a diagram of our bee hotel and we are very excited to make it.

Below are some images of students investigating a range of different plants and collating and graphing information relating to which ones they like the most. They have also been demonstrating their knowledge through scientific drawings.

Class Pets

In Year 4 we have some new class pets, meet Jolly and Sticky Icky.

Students in Stage 2 will observe and care for these pets as part of our science unit throughout the year. We have already seen them grow a lot and have witnessed them shed their skins. They have also been a great inspiration for our Year 4 Poetry writing.
