School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)

At Karoo Primary School, we are committed to fostering a positive and respectful learning environment for all students. In 2024, our dedicated staff worked hard to establish clear behaviour expectations that guide consistent practices across our school. These expectations help our entire school community understand what is required in different areas of the school.

To support this, SWPBS posters are displayed around the school and shared on social media, ensuring that students, staff, and families stay informed. Each week, we promote a specific behaviour focus, providing students with opportunities to learn about and practice positive behaviours.

By working together, we create a safe, respectful, and engaging school environment where everyone can thrive.

This term, we are focusing on behaviour expectations within Learning Spaces. So far, we have explored:

We use kind and respectful wordsKINDNESS

We make positive learning choices for ourselves and othersPERSONAL EXCELLENCE

We give everything a goTENACITY

We move safely within the spaceSAFETY

Next week, our focus will be:

We treat belongings with care and use them for their intended purposeKINDNESS

We look forward to seeing our students demonstrate these values every day!

Student Support Group Meetings (SSG)

Student Support Group meetings will begin next week. If you have a booked appointment, please note that due to a tight schedule, each meeting will run for 20 minutes. To ensure we make the most of this time, we kindly ask that you arrive on time.

Thank you for your cooperation—we appreciate your support in working together for the best outcomes for our students.

Kind Regards,

Robyn Harris
