Introducing our 2025 Sports Captains

Kaitlyn

Hi my name is Kaitlyn, and I'm your 2025 sports captain. I'm also in Red House. When I'm not at school I do swimming and I play for Lysterfield Netball Club. I also like to play soccer with my friends. I will continue to bring Karoo to sporting success.

Walter 

My name is Walter, and I am your 2025 sports captain. I represent blue house, and I am excited for my new role this year. Outside of school I like to play basketball and soccer. I play for Knox Allstars. I am looking forward to a great year helping Karoo continue our sporting success!

Blake 

Hi my name is Blake, and I am one of your 2025 sport captains and  I represent Blue house. I like to play Basketball and Tennis. In Basketball I play for Knox Allstars and Knox Raiders. Soon I will be playing for a tennis club. I am really looking forward to being your sport captain this year.

Aditya 

Hi my name is Aditya, I am your red house sports captain. Outside of school I like playing cricket for Rowville, I also like playing tennis. This year one of my responsibilities is taking out our soccer goals and collecting house points. I am looking forward to 5/6 district sport and cross country later in the year.

Jarred 

Hi I am Jarred, I am one of your 2025 sport captains. I love playing basketball and i used to play for the Dandenong Rangers. And one thing I'm looking for is helping out with anything sport related really and inspiring people to participate.

Olympia 

My name is Olympia and I am one of your sports captains for 2025. I am in Yellow house and I like playing basketball for All Stars. I also used to do athletics. I am looking forward to Cross Country and Athletics day this year. Some of my jobs as a sports captain are setting up for sports events, putting up our Karoo flags and goals and helping out everyone so that they enjoy sport.

Chloe 

Hi my name is Chloe and I am one of your 2025 Sports captains. I play cricket, rep cricket, footy and basketball. I am so excited to be your Sport captain for the rest of the year! See you around!

Jasper 

Hi my name is Jasper, I am one of Karoo's 2025 Sports captains this year. I will be representing blue house. Outside of school I play basketball for Ferntree Gully Falcons, Football for Lysterfield Wolves and Cricket for Heatherdale. I like playing sport because I get to meet new people and make new friends. I am really looking forward to representing Karoo this year and all the different sports events we will be doing! 

Karoo Sports Wrap Up

What a big week of sport we have had! Last Friday 21st February we had the Wantirna District Swimming Carnival where 22 of our talented Karoo swimmers competed against other schools in the Wantirna district. All swimmers showed immense tenacity, skill and school spirit in each of their events. I would like to congratulate Liliana K who is progressing through to division for breaststroke and backstroke, Darcy B who is progressing to division for breaststroke and the under 12 boys 4X50m Freestyle relay team  (Jasper T, Darcy B, Jasper P and Flynn H who  are progressing through to Division also. Division will be held on the 17th March, Good luck to our 5 students representing Karoo!!

Also this week we had coaches from Hockey Victoria came to Karoo to run a Hockey clinic with the Year 3 and 4. We learnt skills, teamwork and had a lot of fun!
