Meet our Mandarin Captains

Hi, I’m Olivia, and I’m honoured to be one of your 2025 Mandarin Captains!  

I was born in China, so Mandarin is my strong suit. While my English may not be perfect, I can communicate well!  I’m incredibly proud to take on this role, especially because I have the opportunity to work alongside the amazing Ms. Cheng. This year, I look forward to contributing to a variety of activities and making Mandarin learning even more fun and exciting for everyone!

Hi, my name is Leo, and I’m proud to be one of the 2025 Mandarin Captains!

This year, I’ll be helping Ms. Cheng run the Mandarin Lunchtime Clubs, where students can have fun while improving their Mandarin skills. I will also have the exciting opportunity to speak in front of the whole school on Chinese Day, which I’m really looking forward to!

Outside of school, I enjoy playing sports and video games. Being active and competitive helps me stay focused, and gaming is a great way to challenge myself and have fun.

That’s a little about me—can’t wait to see you all soon and make this year an amazing one!

As we step into a new year, I am excited to continue sharing the beauty of the Chinese language and culture with our students. I look forward to seeing our Mandarin Captains take on their leadership roles and inspire their peers through fun and engaging activities. Together, we will make this a fantastic year of learning, growth, and cultural appreciation!
