We are proud to introduce our Visual Arts captains for 2025... Tyler, Lucas and Iris.
Hi, We're Tyler and Lucas. We are very excited to be your Visual Art Captains and have lots of great ideas to encourage creativity and imagination at Karoo. Stay tuned for our first Art competition announcement in a few weeks.

Hello, hello. I'm Iris, one of the 2025 Visual Arts Captains. This year I will collaborate with Miss Cole and other captains to make Art an enjoyable subject for the Karoo community. I guarantee that students will have the confidence to express art in different ways. The captains are currently arranging a competition and will throw-in more activities throughout the year. A warm welcome to a crafty 2025.

Introducing our Performing Arts captains for 2025... Joesph, Zara and Lexi.
We are your 2025 Performing Arts Captains and we are so excited to watch everyone grow in their musical abilities and develop their passion, or some favourite songs in Performing Arts. We are so excited to bring new events and subjects to the school and work hard on those that already exist. The Performing Arts can't wait to work with the students, teachers and community of Karoo.

Choir is Coming to Karoo Primary School!
We are excited to announce that Karoo Primary School is starting its very own choir, and we can’t wait to share this wonderful musical opportunity with our students! An information session will be held at lunchtime on Monday, where students can learn more about this exciting program and how they can become a part of our school choir.
What is the Choir Program?
The choir is open to students from Year 2 to Year 6, and it will provide a chance for students to come together and sing a variety of songs throughout the year. There are plans for students to perform at several school events and possibly on an excursion in the community, giving them the opportunity to showcase their hard work and talent.
Important Information
Due to safety and supervision requirements, the choir will be capped at 30 students, ensuring a manageable and enjoyable experience for all involved. Students who commit to the choir program will be expected to attend all rehearsals, many of which will take place during lunchtime and afternoon break times. At a minimum, the choir will meet once a week during lunchtime but this may increase as performance dates near. Consistent attendance is key to the choir’s success—if students are unable to regularly attend, their spot may be given to someone on the waiting list.
The Benefits of Being in the Choir
Joining the choir offers numerous benefits for our students. Not only will they develop their musical skills, but they will also gain confidence, discipline, and teamwork as they work together to create beautiful music. Choir provides a wonderful opportunity for students to express themselves creatively, build lasting friendships, and be part of a supportive and encouraging group.
We look forward to seeing many of our students join this exciting new program and hope they will embrace the chance to make music and memories together!
