Dear Parents/Guardians,
Each year our school develops an Annual Improvement Plan. An Annual Improvement Plan (AIP) for schools is a strategic roadmap outlining the goals, actions, and timelines designed to enhance the educational environment and student outcomes. This plan typically focuses on improving key areas, such as academic performance, student behavior, teacher development, and overall school culture. Here's a breakdown of what an Annual Improvement Plan involves.
We are incredibly proud of the effort and dedication that all of our students put into their NAPLAN assessments last week. It was truly inspiring to see how hard they worked and the focus they brought to the task. The NAPLAN test can be challenging, but our students approached it with a positive attitude and a determination to do their very best.
Education is important and regular attendance at school is essential for your child to achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options. When your child attends school every day, learning becomes easier as they are able to build on what was learned the day before. Just one day missed per fortnight equates to one whole year over a child's school life!
Arriving at school on time is also important. Classes start at 8:50am so students should arrive at least ten minutes prior to this to ensure they have time to put their bags away and greet their friends. Arriving after the bell disrupts the flow of the class, and important daily reminders and learning opportunities are missed.
Schools, in partnerships with families, are responsible for promoting the regular attendance of students and for ensuring that non-attendance is addressed effectively. Thank you for prioritising your children’s attendance at school and please do not hesitate to contact us if you require support in this area.
The P&F Committee are still seeking donations for the annual Easter Raffle. The committee are looking to provide prizes of baskets full of Easter treats and goodies. Thank you to the families who have already sent in donations. Raffle tickets were sent home last week.
