GRIP Leadership Conference

Creating Futures Together

GRIP Leadership Conference 2025

On Wednesday 5th March our Student Leaders and SRC representatives attended the annual GRIP Leadership Conference at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year's conference centred around the powerful theme "Lead on Behalf of Others," providing our student leaders with practical tools and inspiration to make a meaningful difference at our school.

Throughout the day, our leaders engaged in interactive plenary sessions and leadership workshops designed to strengthen their leadership capabilities. The conference covered essential topics such as making our school more inclusive, understanding the core responsibilities of student leadership, and developing practical strategies for organising events that bring our school community together.

Our student leaders particularly enjoyed the collaborative activities that allowed them to connect with peers from other schools, sharing ideas and building networks that extend beyond our college. The hands-on approach of the sessions ensured students left with actionable ideas they can implement immediately.

Thank you to Mr. Andrew Steele for joining us and accompanying our students and supporting their growth as leaders. In the coming weeks, our student leaders will conduct a workshop to share what they've learned and develop an action plan to incorporate these valuable insights into our school culture.
