Principal's Update

Dear Families,

On September 6 we celebrate Father’s Day—a special time to honor and give thanks to our fathers, grandfathers, and all those who lovingly take on fatherly roles in our lives. Thank you for guiding us with wisdom, protecting us with strength, and nurturing us with love. At our school, we recognise the importance of their presence and the impact they have on our families and community.

I offer this prayer:

Loving God,

We thank You for the gift of fathers —

those who care, guide, and protect with love and strength.

Bless all fathers, grandfathers, and those who take on the role of a father in our lives.

May they be filled with Your wisdom, patience, and joy.

Help them lead with kindness, speak with love, and walk in faith.

We remember with gratitude those who are no longer with us,

and we pray for comfort for those who miss them today.

May all father figures feel appreciated and supported,

and may they continue to reflect Your love in their families and communities.

St. Joseph, faithful and loving father to Jesus,

pray for all who nurture and guide children with care.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Special thanks to Sue Johns for coordinating a wonderful Book Week.

Finalising 2027 school numbers

It is at this time of the year that we begin to forecast how many students will be attending our school in 2027. These forecasts are very important as they tell our Advisory Council how many classes will be required for 2026. This of course impacts how many teachers are required.

Subsequently, I ask that all parents advise Tim Moloney -

tmoloney@sfstrathfieldsaye.catholic.edu.au if children will be leaving St. Francis of the Fields. Thank you.

Summer Uniform

Please note that children may wear either their summer or winter uniform from Monday 31 August during the changeable weather conditions. All children will need to be in Summer uniform by Monday 19 October.
