7 RISE Zone Bowling Excursion

Creating Futures Together

On Monday, the students of 7 RISE had a very exciting time at Zone Bowling. They were there to collect data from their games and find the probability of a game in Timezone.

All students were put into Bowling groups and played 2 games and recorded their scores. Between games each student got a $5 voucher to spend at the cafeteria. At the end of Bowling, students were able to play the machines in the arcade for 20 minutes and everyone had 200 points to spend in the shop. More sugar!

The Bowling scores are going to be used during the statistics unit but their main task was to visit the “Wheel of Fortune” and record the number of outcomes and their probabilities for their project.

As part of their project, student also had to run a ‘chance’ game for the class. Students had a hilarious time playing and participating in the games in class, such as ‘Corners’ and ‘Meatball Roulette’. Students also reflected on the games they played and gave their classmates scores out of 5 stars.
