Fundraising for 2024: big screen and speakers under Gumbuya
Thank you to everyone for helping us on our way to getting our new screen for under Gumbuya and the sound system to go with it. This is a necessary addition to helping our community connect through assembly and social functions.
Here’s this week's update from Parents & Friends.
Mother’s/ Special Person’s Day Stall
We really hope that all you special people out there loved your little gifts that were specially chosen for you. The children always have so much fun and put so much thought into choosing a gift you will love. Big thank you to Leanne for organising the stall and gifts and to the group of volunteers who helped service the stall on the day. It’s with much delight we can say we raised $2025.44 on the day.
Mother’s/ Special Person’s Event
We hope that you enjoyed your lunch and afternoon with your little ones for our ever-popular event. It was so lovely to see so many of you with boxes of scones and cake and enjoying time on your own whilst your children went off and played with their friends!! Thank you to Tom Brockbank who spent the night previously baking 400 scones and just as important, we would like to thank the extra volunteers who helped set up, serve and pack away our event. We’re pleased to say we raised $1740.
Subway Special Lunch - Thursday 6th June
Notes will have come home this week for our Special lunches. Make sure you return the forms by Friday 31st May as late orders cannot be accepted.
Volunteers are need to help distribute this lunch. You can sign up here:
School Disco - Thursday 27th June
A note for your diary that the school disco will be on Thursday 27th June and will be held in the gym after school. As always, the lower and upper school discos will be split. Further details to follow shortly with bookings available on Compass.
Volunteer spots are now open so make sure you get in early to help
Community Cookbook 2024
Thank you to the families who have contributed additional recipes this week for the cookbook - it’s great that we can make further progress on this now. Please keep a look out for updates on when this will be launched and on sale.
Trivia Night - Friday 9th August
We have changed the date of the Trivia Night from Friday 2nd August to Friday 9th August. Make sure you have the right date on your calendar and have got the babysitter booked as you’re not going to want to miss this one.
A team of parents have been busy behind the scenes getting the theme ready - we know that you’re going to love this one for sure!!!!
More details will follow shortly so keep an eye out on Compass.
Also for new parents to school, this is an ADULT ONLY event.
Fete 2025
Thank you to all the parents who have signed up for coordinator roles forming the fete committee. We will be having our first meeting in June, so let the planning commence.
There will be plenty of opportunity for more parents to get involved as the weeks and months move on, so watch this space for updates.
