CURRICULUM FOCUS

This week students are finding number patterns to help them to solve addition and subtraction problems.

VOCABULARY

Number patterns: A group of numbers that follow rules like skip counting in 2s, 5s or 10s.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Arrange Cards: Scatter cards that follow a number pattern around the room. Leave some numbers missing in the pattern.

Skip Counting Adventure: Have your child find the cards and fill in the missing numbers by skip counting (e.g., by 2s).

Variations: Change skip counting patterns, add physical actions, or set time challenges.
