Principal's Report

Dear families,

ACCESS TO PAEDIATRIC SERVICES

Toolamba P.S. is very fortunate to be able to access the paediatric services at the Mooroopna P.S when time and resources permit. If we feel a student may benefit from this service, we make a recommendation. As part of this agreement, we are asked to ensure that a teacher or school representative attends these appointments.

BioCATS

Next Monday, the Grade 5 & 6 students have a wonderful opportunity to participate  in the BioCATS program at Geelong. This event is free of charge which is fantastic.  The Geelong Cats employ a team of scientists and mathematicians to help ensure that their athletes are able to analyse and refine their performance and technique to gain the winning edge.

BioCATS is run from the Deakin Cats Community Centre at GMHBA Stadium as a full day program. Students and teachers participate in dynamic scientific experiments, using problem solving, statistical analysis and observation skills to learn about the science and mathematics of football and career pathways in sport.

The program also reinforces the concepts of health and wellness and the benefits that come from sports participation.

We look forward to hearing about their experience when they return.

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

Next Friday, students will participate in the Jump Rope for Heart Day. Students will rotate around several skipping stations. A sausage in bread and Zooper Doopers are available to purchase via QKR! Orders will close next Tuesday at 12pm.There will be no pub lunches next Friday.

REPORT WRITING

Currently staff are collecting data to inform their report writing which is fast approaching. This year reports will be sent home electronically via XUNO. Parents will then be able to access these reports on an ongoing basis.

Have a lovely weekend,

Regards Heather
