2024 Athletics Carnival 

Last Thursday saw everyone travel to Glen Innes for our Athletics Carnival. It was a fantastic day and wonderful to see all the students giving it their best. A special thank you to Mrs Lockwood and Mr Perkins who set up and packed up the carnival for us to make sure we were ready to go when we got off the bus. It was great to see so many families come and support our young people. 

Please see the results from the Carnival below. If your child was successful in qualifying for the Diocesan Carnival they have received a letter at this morning's awards presentation. We currently have no information on the Diocesan Carnival so please be patient and we will send the information out via a Compass Event when we receive it.

Spirit of the Carnival Award- Lachlan R: for incredible sportsmanship and being a fantastic helper on the day. 

Rugby Union Trials  & Gary McSweeney Cup

Last Friday saw Flynn, Christopher, Ricky, Hugo and Darcy travel to Tamworth to compete in the Union Trials and Gary McSweeney Cup. The boys made up the Pirates mixed team and were coached by Dan Sisson and Jon Welsh, a big thank you to these dad’s for stepping up and taking on this role. All boys played exceptionally well and displayed wonderful sportsmanship. 

A giant congratulations to Darcy who was successfully selected to play in the Armidale Dio  Rugby Union Team. He will travel to Forbes in July to compete and we wish him the best of luck. 

NSWCPS Cross Country 

On Wednesday, Matthew S, Flynn McF, Scarlett N, Hugo S and Darcy S competed at the NSWCPS Cross Country Championships in Sydney. All students displayed fantastic results and should be congratulated on their wonderful efforts.

St Mary of the Angels have three school house colours. We encourage our students to wear these at school sport events, alternatively, sports uniform can be worn. 

In 2024 the school house colours are:

MacKillop - YELLOW
