School Council President's Message

Dear Hamilton (Gray St) Families,
I am delighted to announce that Jane Langley has been provisionally appointed as the Principal for Hamilton (Gray St) Primary School beginning Term 3 2024.
An experienced and highly respected educator and leader in the Hamilton area, Jane joins our school community following nearly 4 years as the Principal at Macarthur Primary School. Prior to taking up this role, she was a long-standing member of the Hamilton North Primary School community, making significant contributions as a classroom teacher, Wellbeing Leader and as an Acting Principal, demonstrating her strong capacity for leadership in education.
Jane has also worked for the regional wellbeing team, and as an Educational Consultant. She has demonstrated significant skill and capacity in building and sustaining strong learning cultures within schools, based on strong relationships with all members of the school community. An integral focus and strength for Jane is the way in which learning and wellbeing are connected.
She is looking forward to joining Hamilton (Gray St) Primary School and is excited about the opportunity to work with the staff, students and school council to implement the school’s new strategic plan and strengthen the implementation of the school’s values.
The school council, staff, students and wider school community would like to acknowledge and thank Ben Kelson for his outstanding leadership over the past 4 years. His vision and commitment to the students, families and staff has resulted in steady and sustainable growth of our school.
We are confident that this next stage, under Jane’s leadership will be one of continued growth for our school, working with staff, students and families to build on a legacy of excellence, inclusion and community connectedness and take our school forward with confidence. We look forward to welcoming Jane to our school community more formally early in Term 3.
Kind regards,
Anna Robertson
School Council President
