Assistant Principals' Report

Absence Process

Attendance at school is important; however, we understand that, at times, your child will need to have time away from school. We kindly request if your child is unwell that you explain the absence on Compass and provide any relevant documentation, such as a medical certificate, to the appropriate administration office.

Year 10 Senior Pathways Expo

The Year 10 Senior Pathways Expo will be an event held during iThrive on Tuesday the 18th of June where Year 10 students can meet with Classroom Teachers of VCE/VCE VM subjects to gain a greater understanding of the choices available. Teachers will provide information regarding their subject.  This information could include key knowledge and skills, assessment, excursions and incursions, examples of work and relevant industries and occupations.

Year 10 and 11 Exams

This week our Year 11 cohort commenced their first exams for the year and we are very pleased as a teaching staff, with the efforts all students have made to arrive on time, prepared, organised and motivated to achieve their best.

Please check out Compass to view Mrs. Janceski's letter to students regarding exams, which includes some words of encouragement and study tips and tricks.

Please be aware that the GAT will be on Tuesday 18th June for all Year 12 students and any Year 11 student studying a Year 12 subject.

The GAT is in 2 parts and starts at 9:00 am and will finish at 3:00 pm.

Part A - 9:00 am - 11:15 am

Part B - 1:15 pm - 3:00 pm.

Uniform

A reminder that we now have our new uniform chronicle that will now notify parents when students are issued a uniform infringement. We have done this to improve communication with our families and are requesting your support. We are seeing many students in non-compliant or non-HGC uniform items. Students should not be wearing hoodies or black long sleeve tops underneath. Teachers and leaders will be contacting home further if there are ongoing issues.

Year 10 Formal

It is with great excitement that we invite all Year 10 students to attend this special evening on Friday 16 August from 7:00pm at The Manor on High in Epping. The night will include a three-course dinner, a DJ and photo booth. It provides the opportunity for our students to reflect on the year so far and the connections and relationships they have developed with staff and peers. We look forward to celebrating this evening with you and hope this will be a night to remember!
