A Message from the Principal
Mrs Amanda Sheridan
This week, we celebrate "Catholic Schools Week" with the theme: Our Hope-Filled Future. Today, our school leaders joined other diocesan schools for Mass at St Nicholas Church in Tamworth, and as a school, we will celebrate our hope-filled future by sharing our gifts and talents through a wellbeing day on Thursday. We thank our families for recognising the incredible community spirit that makes St Joseph's such a special place for our students to grow.

Every year on May 26, Australia observes National Sorry Day—a deeply significant day of remembrance and respect. It offers us an opportunity to acknowledge and honour the strength of Stolen Generations survivors, and to reflect on the historical mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families, communities, and culture.
National Sorry Day marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week (May 27 – June 3). It serves as a vital reminder of our shared responsibility to listen to truth-telling, foster deep understanding, and actively participate in the ongoing journey toward healing and reconciliation.
