Basketball

Basketball is back on! On Thursday our basketball teams take to the court to commence the summer competition. 

Please carefully read the draw below. 

Term 4 Sport

This term the students will be completing an AFL program. Thank you to Khobi Devine from North West AFL for providing our students with this opportunity. 

Meet ONE of our Polding and Armidale Diocesan Representatives for 2023 - Hamish Crittenden

Hamish is in Year 6 at St Joseph's Primary School and is a well-rounded young sportsman.

Hamish has represented the School in Athletics, Cross Country and Basketball. He has also gained selection in the Armidale Diocesan Cross Country and Athletics Teams that took part in their respective Polding Trials.

At the Polding Trials, Hamish placed 2nd in the 11 Years 200 metres, a truly great achievement. This gained Hamish selection in the Polding Athletics Team to compete at the NSW PSSA Athletics Championships. These championships will take place in Homebush at Sydney Olympic Park on the 25th and 26th October. We wish Hamish all the best for this event. 

When asked what sport Hamish enjoys the most he answered "Basketball because I enjoy working with a team."

Hamish's advice to other sporting achievers is to "always train hard and push yourself to the limit."

Hamish's sporting hero that he looks up to is Usain Bolt, "I love how even though he was the best in the world he never stopped working hard."

Ultimate Ninja Association of Australia Competition

Congratulations to Ryan Lee who placed 2nd in the state for his age at the Ultimate Ninja Association of Australia State Competition in Tuggerah last month. What an awesome achievement Ryan!

Ryan has now qualified for the National Competition to be held on the 18th and 19th November in Boggabri to compete for a place in the World Athlete Ninja Games to be held in America next year. 

Well done Ryan!
