Student Wellbeing

Rest, Recharge and Recover

A term of school can be exhausting for our students (and families). We know the mental load that is put on our students academically, emotionally and socially. It is so important that over school holidays, we give our students time to rest and revive to come back refreshed for another term of learning.

Research has shown that holidays benefit adults by boosting their physical, emotional and mental health. It improves our stress levels, energy levels, sleep quality and emotional stability. All of this is true with children. As the term has progressed, you may have noticed your child’s energy levels decreased, possible sickness and emotional stability and this is all common when feeling tired and rundown.

Inside a school term, students not only attend school, but they also complete many extra curricular activities including sports, music lessons, art, scouts etc, and these all have an impact on their mental health and wellbeing. Our students are great at balancing all of these, however they need time over the holidays to rest, recharge and recover..

The power of the reset and recharge, allows our students to come back to school energised. We see a more productive student in the classroom, an improved mindset and higher energy levels.

We hope that you and your family have a wonderful break and find time to do some things that you enjoy.
