Unit 3 & 4 Exams
Unit 3 and 4 students are busy preparing for their upcoming Examinations. We had a great turn out at both the Exam Revision sessions and formal Practice Exams during the recent holidays. These opportunities, along with the distribution of practice exam booklets for each subject, provide students with the best possible preparation for end of year Exams. Students should be working through the provided practice Exams (completing as many as 10 practice Exams for each subject) and seeking feedback from teachers and peers to consolidate their knowledge and skills for each of their subjects.
All Year 12 VCE scored students are required at school for all scheduled classes up until Thursday 19 October. Friday 20 October will be their final school day (Celebration Day).
All students presenting for any 2023 VCE external examination should now have received their VCE Exams Navigator booklet. An online copy can be found HERE.
All students are required by the VCAA to carefully read the exam navigator (parents are strongly encouraged to read it as well). It provides important information on:
- Approved materials and equipment for examinations
- VCAA rules
- Examination timetable, including dates and times
- Special Provision information
- 2023 VCE Results and ATAR Service
Students undertaking a Language and Performance based subject have recently completed, or are in the process of completing, their oral and Performance Examinations.
Written examinations start on Tuesday 24 October with English and EAL.
Important reminders for all Unit 3 and 4 and Early Start students undertaking Examinations:
Further information and final reminders for parents and students regarding upcoming VCAA exams will be published on Compass in Week 3.
VCE Results and ATAR Service
The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) and the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) offer three options for accessing VCE results and your ATAR: internet, mail, and app. The VCAA also offers an email option for accessing VCE and VCAL results.
VCAA and VTAC encourage all students to register for access to their VCE Results and ATAR service before the release of results.
Registering for Results
Registrations open on Monday 31 July, 2023 and must be completed by 5pm Sunday 10 December 2023.
To register, students will need:
· their VCAA student number and personal details
· to create a secure password
· to only register once - your password can be used for both the internet service and the mobile app.
If you have a VTAC account, this will not give you access to the VCE Results and ATAR Service.
Getting Your Results
Results are available online, mail, email and mobile app.
Online: The online service is free and available 24 hours a day once results are released.
Mail: VCE and VM results and ATAR statements will arrive in the mail from Monday 11 December 2023. Printed ATAR statements are mailed only to VTAC applicants who have submitted and paid for a course application. Students who have not applied for courses can request an ATAR statement from the VTAC website. Administrative fees apply.
VCE and VCAL certificates are distributed by schools and colleges, rather than mailed with the results.
Mobile app: Search for ‘VCE Results and ATAR’ to download from the Apple App Store or Google Play. You can install the app now but 2023 results and ATAR’s won’t be available until 7.00am – 7.15am Monday 11 December 2023. Note that location restrictions may prevent access from outside Australia.
Email: Students must provide an accurate email address to the College. This must be recorded on the Victorian Assessment Software System (VASS).
We wish all students the best of luck during their upcoming examinations!
