Welcome to Term 4!

I'd like to start by wishing our Year 12 VCE students the best of luck as they undertake their Performance Exams over the next two weeks.  Students have been working towards their exams since the start of the year through workshops, masterclasses, clinics and lessons. VCE Music Performance, Dance & Theatre Studies students are all required to undertake a Performance Exam as well as a written Exam.

This term, students in the Instrumental Music program have begun rehearsing in their ensembles for 2024. This give students the opportunity to meet their new groups, transition to more challenging repertoire and prepare for next year. Please note, rehearsal times and ensemble directors may change for 2024.

A reminder that Instrumental Music Conferences will be taking place in Week 5 and these will be offered online.  Parents will be able to book their conference via Compass. This is a great opportunity to check in with your student's Instrumental Music teacher ahead of upcoming re-enrolment for 2024.

Re-enrolment forms and the 2024 Instrumental Music Handbook will be sent to families in the coming weeks.

Dance Concert Thu 26 Oct

Unit 2 VCE Dance students and 9/10 Dance Composition students will participate in an evening of Dance, where they will showcase their skills and development from throughout the semester. Unit 2 requires students to learn, rehearse, prepare and perform learnt group dance, alongside devising their own composition solo that explores an intention. As part of the 9/10 Dance Composition course, students are required choreograph, rehearse and perform a solo or duo dance work and reflect on this process.

All students are required to attend and perform as part of their major assessment for the semester.  For friends and families, this is an opportunity for you to see the hard work and creativity of our Unit 2 Dance students. Students will perform in our College Theatre. Tickets for this event can be purchased HERE through Trybooking for $5

Bunnings BBQ Sat 7 October

Thank you to the POPA committee and parent volunteers for running another successful Bunnings BBQ on Saturday 7 October.  A particular thank you to Tracy Mizzi for co-ordinating the event, to all the committee members who purchased and brought items, to the parents who turned up to sell sausages, to those that promoted the event via social media and those that came to buy a snag! Together, you raised almost $2000, the profits of which will go towards our Performing Arts program.
