District Athletics

We started our Term with a hugely successful day of District Athletics. We congratulate all of the students who participated in this day and the 30+ students who have progressed to Division. We extend our thanks to Mitch Clark and Meg Hubbard for running such a successful day and to the other teachers who went with the Rangeview group and ensured our students were ready to do their best - Tegan Cant, Sam Anderson & Ash Cormack.

We won the day and our school captains, Joel and Emily, were proud to bring home the plaque for the whole school to see at assembly.

Rangeview Reading Heroes

The Rangeview Reading Heroes Club is a reading club that encourages our readers from all levels to come together in the Level 2 hub once a week and read books together. This club has gained momentum over the past terms and on Monday we recognised the Grade 3 student who began this initiative.

A huge congratulations to Ariana from 3A for bringing this initiative to life.

Oktoberfest

Today we are celebrating the Rangeview Annual Oktoberfest Celebration Day. We began the day with a whole school assembly which included student performances, whole school songs and a costume parade. The students then took part in three rotations of German Activities which immersed them in German Language, culture and traditions.

It was so wonderful to see so many students in a Bavarian costume (Dirndlkleid or Lederhose), the German flag colours (black, red, and gold/yellow) or the Bavarian flag colours (blue and white).

Thank you to the P&F Committee members who sorted and organised literally hundreds of Gingerbread Hearts and Pretzels for the students. A huge thank you to our German Team for organising and running this fabulous day - Frau Ulrike Lindner, Frau Megan Taylor, Frau Susanne Heine & Frau Josefine Schneider.

New Groundsperson

We have a new Gardener / groundsperson at Rangeview taking care of our buildings and grounds and working with our Level 3 students in their Flora and Fauna sessions. We hope you will say hello to Michael Brown if you see him around the school.

Hats

Please be aware that this is a 'Hats' term and all students are asked to bring their Rangeview school hat to school for outside play and games. New hats can be purchased at the office.

Curriculum Day

We will be holding our Student Free Day this term on Monday 6th November. This is the day prior to the Melbourne Cup Public Holiday. Their Care will be operating on this day for any families that require care.

We hope your child has had a wonderful first week back and we look forward to seeing you at school this term!
