COMMUNITY EVENTS:

Columbia Park Pre School and Wheelers Hill Secondary College

Our grade 5 and 6 students have been very excited to be working with our neighbouring pre school at Columbia Park.

This week the year 5 and 6 students had our second session working with the children from Columbia Park Pre-school. On Tuesday afternoon, the year 5’s hosted the 4 year old kinder children with their teacher Michelle at our school library. We read Elmer the Elephant and then supported the kinder children to make a collage of Elmer.

On Wednesday, the year 6’s walked over to the kinder, we read stories, drew pictures and explored the playground with the 3 year old kinder children and their teacher Shehani. We can’t wait for later on this term when we work with the kinder children again.

We have visited the pre school and have also hosted a visit by our pre school students who enjoyed some activities in our beautiful library.

Wheelers Hill Secondary College:

In PE last week our grade 3-6 students all participated in Netball Clinics which were conducted by Wheelers Hill Secondary Colllege Year 9 students studying Sport and Recreation. The practical clinics were well run and students had the opportunity to learn more about netball. It was great to connect with Wheelers Hill students.
