School Production

The school production day on Wednesday would be one of the highlights of the term or even of the year for many of our students. I was very proud of our students being so confident and resilient throughout the day. Standing on a stage in front of the audience and being collaborative and cooperative during such a long day could have been challenging for some students, but they did amazing work!! I am sure that you could see how much work had gone into the preparation and rehearsal of the show and I’d like to express my gratitude to our parent helpers and our staff members for their support and all the work that was done behind the scenes. It has been a very busy term, with so many sicknesses around, our students have once again immersed themselves in many exciting and engaging activities during this term. I wish all our students and families a fun and safe term break!

今週水曜日に行われたスクールプロダクションは、多くの生徒たちにとって今学期、もしくは今年度のハイライトだったのではないでしょうか。観客の前でパフォーマンスをすること、また長いスケジュールの中先生の指示をきき、ルールを守って行動するなど、特にまだ小さい生徒たちにとっては大変な一日だったかと思います。そんな中、自信を持って演じ、忍耐力を持って１日を過ごすことができた生徒たち。本当に頑張りました！スクールプロダクションを実現させるために、たくさんのサポートをしてくださった保護者の皆様、また本校のスタッフ、本当にありがとうございました。今学期は病気になる生徒やスタッフがたくさんいる中、さまざまな行事やイベントがありました。楽しくて安全なホリデーをお過ごしください。

Last week, I had a pleasure of working with our Prep students in the Library. We read “the Gingerbread Man” story together and designed our own gingerbread man. This was tied up with the literacy learning in their classroom as they were reading several fairy tales and discussed that there were many versions in fairy tales. It was so much fun reading the story with them!

先週の水曜日、プレップの生徒たちとライブラリーのレッスンに参加しました。「ジンジャーブレッドマン」の物語を読んでから、自分たちのジンジャーブレッドマンのデザインをしました。プレップの生徒たちは英語の授業でさまざまなおとぎ話を読んでおり、おとぎ話にはいろいろなバージョンがあるという勉強をしているところでした。プレップのみんなととても楽しく物語を読みました！
