Term 3 PE Lessons

This term all students will be exploring different Fundamental Motor skills through a striking and fielding games unit. The Prep-2 will focus on 1 and 2 handed strikes for sports such as tennis, cricket, softball, hockey etc. While the Yr 3-6 students will focus on Game play and strategies used for Cricket, T-ball and Softball.

Yr 5/6 students will also be completing their Bike Ed unit and finish the block with a Big Ride to Hawthorn Velodrome.

Bike Ed

Last term all Yr 3-6 students were introduced to Bike Ed. Brenton from Auscycle came in to help lead 1 session to introduce them to the basics of riding and some basic skills. The Yr 5/6 then carried on the program to learn more skills and will be developing awareness of road safety and rules for riding in the local community this term. This will then lead to the Yr 5/6 heading out on an excursion and a Big Bike ride to Hawthorn Velodrome. If we have any budding cyclists in the parent group, you are welcome to come along and join us!
