Family Engagement in Learning

Bridget O'Connor- Family Engagement Leader

Hello Trinity Families,

On Friday the 27th of October Trinity will be acknowledging Day for Daniel. Students, staff and families are encouraged to wear red and bring a gold coin donation for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. During the week classes will be completing activities around child safety and ways that we can keep ourselves and others safe. This day is a great opportunity for you to open up a conversation with your child about safety and what they can do if they feel unsafe in any situation.

On another note, Bringing Up Great Kids is a free, six-week parenting program which promotes respectful and caring relationships between parents / carers and their children. It supports parents and carers of children aged 0-10 years to:

  • Reflect on their parenting style and what has influenced it
  • Learn more about brain development and its influence on their children’s thoughts, feelings and behaviour
  • Understand and respond more mindfully to their children’s behaviour
  • Build effective communication with their children
  • Consider ways to take care of themselves and to find support if they need it.

Dates: Tuesdays, 24 October - 28 November 2023

Time: 10.30am - 12.30pm

Where: Community Hub at the Dock, 912 Collins Street, Docklands (Group room)

Please note: child minding is not available, but babies in arms are welcome.

Signing up to this program is necessary and you can access more information through the City of Melbourne website:

Have a great week!
