Our inquiry is called, “Why do we need chemical science?”. Science is the main curriculum focus and this inquiry strongly aligns with the Mathematics and English curriculum. Our students will use the scientific process to investigate hypotheses related to state, matter and temperature. Whilst doing so we will learn about irreversible and reversible change, as well as physical and chemical changes. We will use collaborative teams to investigate theories, identifying the constants and variables required to do a ‘fair test’. Students will observe a range of experiements also lead their own independent investigations using a key question or scientific hypothesis.
