Dear Kingswood Community,

The Preps have been working on a more complex type of pattern....... I wonder if you can work it out by looking at the photos?

Yes, the Preps have been developing their knowledge of symmetry. They chose a focal charm or bead to place in the centre of their necklace and then created their symmetrical design. This means that both sides of the necklace are the mirror image (exactly the same) as each other. The students actually blew my mind at how easily they picked up the concept and used the correct vocabulary.

They had a lot of fun trawling through the huge amount of beads, many of which were provided by our Business Manager, Michelle Jeffery. Others were donated by our parent community. We thank you very much!

Well done Preps! You look spectacular and have learnt a new type of pattern.
