Dear Families,

Welcome back to the new school year!

For those who are new to the school or have not met me before, my name is Signorina Balaban and I am the teacher of Italian at Resurrection School. My role as a language teacher is to teach students about the Italian language and culture but also to support the development of their literacy and numeracy skills. I use an ‘intercultural approach’ to teaching which allows students to share, reflect and compare what they know about their own language and culture to that of the Italian language and culture. Each term I will send out a short overview of what each year level will be learning about.
